Inland Valley Humane Officers Rescue Dogs from Inhumane Living Conditions

POMONA, Calif., August 17, 2011Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A. served a search warrant at

a house in the 700 block of Alta Drive located in Pomona, after several unsuccessful attempts to contact the owner regarding complaints pertaining to the dogs living conditions.

Upon entering the property Inland Valley Humane Society humane officers found several neglected Chihuahuas confined to cramped, unsanitary living conditions, filled with feces and urine. Most of the dogs were without water, while their diet appeared to consist of decomposing and rotting chicken.

Eleven Chihuahuas were rescued by Inland Valley Humane Society and transported back to their shelter. “I’m proud of what we accomplished today; no animal should have to live in such deplorable conditions.  Today is a new beginning for these dogs” said Director of Animals Services, Brian Sampson. The dogs will be examined by IVHS veterinary staff; where they will receive appropriate medical attention including a proper diet.
